Anatol Nunu, (trumpet), Honored Artist

Anatol Nunu was born in the Republic of Moldova, graduated from the Music School in the Cărpineni village, the district of Hâncești where he sudied the instrument trumpet.

Between years of 1984-1988 he studied at the Music College „Ștefan Neaga”, in the class of prof. Iacob Cituleac.

Between 1952 and 1954 he performed his military service in the Military Orchestra from Odessa. Next years he continues his studies at the State Conservatory „Gavriil Muzicescu”, class of professors Pavel Usaci and Valeriu Hanganu (1990-1995). As a student, he is attending numerous festivals and competitions.

In 1990, he is employed in the Folk Music Orchestra „Folclor”, where he works so far. During his work in the orchestra, he made numerous audio recordings for the National Radio and Television funds. He held many concerts both in the country and abroad, proving his interpretative skills, love for the authentic folklore, discipline and dedication during the creation process. He shows us the true value of folk music, and pieces that he picked up from his hometown.

In 2020, he is offered the title of Honored Artist.
