Diamanta Paterău
Diamanta Paterău was born on April 26, 1984 in Sofia village, Drochia district.
Between 1999 and 2003, she studied at the Music College „Ștefan Neaga”, the Popular Instruments Department, the folk singing specialty.
From 2003 to 2007, she studies at the Academy of Music, Theater and Fine Arts, the Faculty of Music History and Folklore, holding bachelor and master degrees.
Since 2008, she has been employed as a soloist in the Folk Music Orchestra „Folclor” of the National Philharmonic „Serghei Lunchevici”.
In 2009, she performed a solo concert on the stage of National Philharmonic with the title „I sing to the world, that is what I dear”.
Participating in numerous competitions, she was awarded the following prizes:
- in 2001 - first Prize at the „Tamara Ciobanu” Folklore Song Contest, Chișinău;
- in 2003 - second Prize at the Romance Festival „Crizantema de Argint”, Chișinău;
- in 2004 - the Trophy of „Crizantema de Argint” Festival
- and in 2004 the first Prize at the Romance Festival „Crizantema de Aur” Târgoviște, Romania.
