Elena DEMIRDJEAN (soprano)
Elena Demirdjean was born in 1982, Oceamchira city, Georgia.
She is a young singer that brings joy not only to pop music lovers but also to those that admire classical music, thus, including an audience of different age categories and tastes. She delights the public with a charismatic stage presence, full of openness, and vitality. Behind her talent is a solid school such as Music, Theatre and Fine Arts Academy (license and master's degree), Academic Canto specialty, Prof. Mihail Munteanu class.
She has been awarded many contests, among them: „Autoradio” Contest, Academic Canto section (Chișinău, 2007); „Victoria - 50” a contest dedicated to the Army Day, (Grand Prize, Chișinău); Duo of the Year where she was performing along with the tenor Ion Timofti (First Prize, Chișinău); and in 2005 she won the Municipal Prize for youth, in the arts field, in the same year she received a grant from Wiener Staatsoper.
She played and presented in opera studio the roles: Clarina from opera „La cambiale di matrimonio” de G. Rossini; Adina and Giannetta from opera „L’elisir d’amore” by G. Donizetti; Varlet Oscar from opera „Un balo in maschera” by G. Verdi. During studying years, she had many artistic tours along with the cast of National Theatre of Opera and Ballet „Maria Bieșu”, in Kyiv (2007), Belarus (2006), Romania (2008), Germany (2005), France (2006), Holland (2009) and North Korea (2009).
Since 2007, she has been a soloist of National Philharmonic „Serghei Lunchevici”, where she accomplished many concerts within musical abonnement for children and students, chamber music, and vocal symphonic concerts.
