Valentina Rusu (violin)

Valentina Rusu was born on September 12, 1991 in the Republic of Moldova. She studied at the Republican Music School „Ciprian Porumbescu”, violin specialty, prof. Galina Buinovschi, after which she graduated from the Academy of Music, Theatre and Fine Arts (bachelor and master degree), class Prof. Boris Dubosarschi.
She is the winner of several national and international competitions:
- „Paul Constantinescu” – 1st prize (2000, Ploiesti, Romania);
- „George Enescu” – 2nd prize (2001, Tulcea, Romania);
- „Paul Constantinescu” – 2nd prize (2001, Ploieşti, Romania);
- „Paul Constantinescu” – 2nd prize (2003, Ploieşti, Romania);
- „Paul Constantinescu” – 2nd prize (2005, Ploiesti, Romania);
- „Remember Enescu” – 3rd prize (2001, Sinaia, Romania);
- „Музыка Нaдежды” – 4th prize (2002, Gomeli, Belarus);
- „Eugene Coca” - 2nd prize (2003, Chisinau);
- „Eugene Coca” - special prize (2005, Chisinau);
- „M.Стрихарж” - diploma (2006, Zaporozhye, Ukraine).
For remarkable successes during the studies and for successes in the field of art, she was awarded the City Hall Scholarship (2004) and the Government Scholarship (2012). Since 2010, she started her activity as an instrumentalist in Folk Music Orchestra „Folclor”, and since 2017, she has been instrumentalist soloist.
