Vasile RUSU (accordion), Artist of the People

Vasile Rusu was born on January 1, 1962.

He studies at the „Ștefan Neaga” Music College (1977-1981) and at the State Conservatory in Chisinau (1981-1986).

He activated as an instrumentalist in the Folk Music Orchestra „Brâuleț” (1980), „Trandafir Moldovenesc” (1982) „Mărțișor” (1983), and „Folclor” Orchestra (since 1984). He has recorded many folk songs and a CD called „The Father's Heart Desire”. He collaborated with the famous orchestras: „Mugurel”, „Lăutarii”, „Fluieraș”, Symphonic Orchestra of the National Philharmonic Orchestra and the Teleradio-Moldova Symphony Orchestra.

In 2012, he was awarded the honorary title Master of Arts, and in 2020 - Artist of the People.
